Gday everyone.

Need to ask a big favour here.
My HQ Coupe has spat the dummy engine wise and is currently having open heart surgery to repair a few things that needed repairing!

What i thought was going to be a 1 week fix.. now isnt... and that leaves me in a really bad situation!

I promised a good mate of mine to take him and his daughter to her WEDDING on the 4th of november!!

Thing now is! I dont have the car to do it with!!

I was wondering if there are any Sydney based Monaro ( early model not V2) owners who would be able to help me out by doing this drive for their wedding.

If you can help out, please let me know by either sending me a PM here, or an email to musclemachine at Optusnet dot com dot au.

Thanks for your help! DAMN CARS!!!

Yeah it really sux mate.

It had to come appart to find the problem, but didnt count on finding so much damage, and having to do other things that need doing while its appart!

Anyone that can help! It would be appreciated, and i'm sure there could be some financial assistance organised for their effort!

Unfortunately they are looking for an old monaro... because they used to own one years ago...

Cheers!

LOL rim

the oil pickup had snapped off and was swinging around in the sump....This made alot of crap metal bits and stuff go through the engine...
Stuffed the bearings
Found a cam bush in the sump
Scored/glazed bores (something like that tiny can correct me on that)
Gear Drive needs to come off and timing chain/gears put on

So its all pulled apart...the crank is going to be looked at to see if its ok otherwise its a new one...
The cam seems to be ok

Thats all i remember but Tiny will update you all when he gets a chance
