Ok guys i need some help here, I am putting an Auto in the hatch and i have noticed on the Tbar shifter there is some wires needed, where do the wires go and what are they for? any pics or diagrams would be appreciated a lot also where do the reverse light wires go? i haven't got the auto here as yet so i haven't been able to have a look at it.

Cheers
Steve

There should be two switches/or arrangement on your transmission selector, one for the starter when in P and N, the other for the reversing lights.......when in R
If you are converting from a manual youll need to find the purple wire(go to the starter and youve found it) that goes to the starter and bring it to this switch and back to the starter in order to have it only start in P and N.
You should have an existing reverse lamp switch connector, light and dark green wires, should be enough wire to bring it to your selector connection.
There is also going to be most likely a lamp for illumination of the markings so maybe look for the wires associated with it as well. Are you using the standard factory shifter?

Thank you devilsadvocate that's exactly the info i was looking for, it is a standard shifter for now at least. So if i just pull out the purple wire and connect it to the shifter then from the shifter back to the starter motor that will allow it to start in P & N only yes? With the reverse light wires I beleive your right they should be long enough so that's easy. Then all I should need to do is wire the little globe up to the parker switch yes?
