big thanks to all who turned up for the day. Bloody hot on those vinyl seats.
we had 3 cruise virgins and 1 new club car for its 1st cruise. all up at the end of the day I reckon we had 14 cars on cruise at different points.
Met some great new people and saw quite a few phone numbers and info exchanged

which is what its all about, helping each other.
We unfortunately lost one of bullits cars just past the freeway tunnels due to 260 degrees on temp. so while daryl came back 2 his son and cooked torrie to cruise home to collect his monaro the rest of us stopped in Hahndorf, then Mt Barker to give him time to eventually catch back up. We cruised to wellington court house where we stopped for morning tea. We were there for quite a while till daryl caught up, so we jumped on ferry and crossed river. 1/2 of us got accross and continued to the next ferry then onto murray bridge. I phoned dave to let him kno we were waiting for them, but the 2nd group got held up at the 2nd ferry due to a tanker being taken accross and they were waiting for 1/2 hour

so at this stage we had been offered to drop into a guys place at Kanmantoo (just out of Callington) for a cold beer and check out his projects. So I put this to the group i was with and they said they were too hot for a propper sit down meal and would prefer to go for a coldie. I put this to the 2nd group and they wanted to go straight to Mt Barker for lunch.
We collected 3 more torries at the Callington hotel, 2 were from Moana that saw the club notes in the advertiser and one was a friend of Troy who had opened his shed for us. We spent about 1hr at Troy and michelles then went to Mt Barker to catch up with everyone else.
Big thanks to dave for his effort in giving us this route for the cruise and tryin to keep us on track. Unfortunately we didnt get to complete the cruise as planned but i think everyone enjoyed the day except for the heat.
I learnt heaps from this event to carry onto future events. It did get a bit frustrating at points but all out of our control.
on a personal note Elsie didnt miss a beat, I was worried how she would go as she was loosing coolant prior to the cruise. But Phil check the radiator for me at wellington and it was still full

She is goin great. I found it really bizare that on all prior cruises with HTC I felt like the odd one out with the LX as most cars were LC, LJ, HB. But at this cruise Elsie and daryls 2 (then 1) were the only little ones there. It was very hard looking at chris's Chamois LX as it was tooooo much like ruby was and I am missing her heaps.
