identify this brake setup

hey guys..

could anyone identify this brake setup..

you maybe be able to see, what i think is a brake like converter. what i think is imprial into metric.

its running a commodore stud pattern hub
brakes need doing, and i need to know setup before i get pads and rotors ect..

any help is appreciated..

edit: please dont tell me they are hq brakes..or im in trouble.

Looks like a cast iron PBR HQ caliper to me. And as there is bugger all clearance between the caliper and disc, I'd say it was a 279 MM diameter disc, just like the HQ.

doh..

could it be possible to have hq brakes..and commo pattern? or am i jammn my wheels onto hq pattern??

You can buy undrilled HQ front discs, get them studded to Commodore and have the centre bore turned down to 69.5 MM. That would be the correct way to do it.

those calipers look like the ones that I have on the rear of my car, except with vented discs?

yeah looks identical to the brakes on my hq, its got sought of a jelly bean shaped pad

On what? Standard Commodore are metric. Standard HQ are imperial. If the discs in the first image are re-studded HQ discs to Commodore pattern, you would think they were metric studs.
