hi,

As i have a few spare front hatch seats and the two that are in the best condition are missing one of the plastic covers near the recliner nob, I want to take the plastic part off the other seats and fit it to the good ones.

I believe you have to take the nob off then the two plastic parts will come off, but i don't know how to get it off.

Anyone know how??

thanks youngy

The recliner knob has a centre cap which must be removed first. The cap has 3 very small indentations around the perimetre. Just use a very small flat blade screw driver to evenly prise the cap off. The cap has long lugs which hold it on. Once the centre cap is off there is a retaining clip to remove the knob. Then the side covers can be renoved. They are also held in place with lugs into the metal of the recliner.

Yeah you've just gotta give them a firm pull after you're removed the recliner knob assembly.

Youngy

when you get the plastic cap off, you will see a retaining ring that holds the two pieces together. Use a screwdriver to pry it loose (counter clockwise, I think) abd the twp pieces will come apart

cheers
