Hi There ,

Just bought one of the battery tray rust replacement sections for my LX
and noticed that it had a number of differences from the original.
Then found the sticker on it was " LH - UC Battery panel" but another had been stuck over the top of it saying "UC Battery panel. "

Are UC Battery trays different ?

Does that mean The LH LX is not available yet ?

Rare Spares bought a UC especially for the battery tray. I have an LX front section and a UC, so I'll see if I can spot any differences over the weekend.

Hi Again,

Just for info ,the differences I noticed are as follows .

1) The raised sections that contain the battery on the UC panel is in sections
where as the LH-LX is one complete raised rectangle.

2) The battery position on the UC seems to overhang the rail slightly.

3) The front edge that attaches to the radiator panel is bent down 90 Deg
on the UC where as the LH - LX bends 90 Deg upwards.

Cheers
David

The battery probably should be closer to the vehicle centre on the UC, as the bonnet slopes down more at the front. This prevented me from installing the N70ZZL battery in the UC. It fitted oh so easy in my LX.

Hi Les,
Just wondering if Rares are going to reproduce the LH/LX battery panel in the near future?

No we soon realised we had made the wrong battery tray, unfortunately the LH LX one will now be a long way off. I will give the first person to contact me a UC one to see if they can use it to repair their LH LX one as long as the supply photos of the fitment
Les
