help to id a ss motor with 'OR' Prefix

hi all
i have a genuine ss torana ( LX8VD77 ) with the following options on the id plate
L32 Motor ( 253 )
M40 ( trimatic )
GU7 ( banjo )

Problem is I would like to know is the motor the original 253?
The number stamped on the block is OR43XXXX ( last 4 numbers left out but has a 'OR' Prefix )

Ive check holdenpedia but i couldnt find this 'OR' Prefix for any holden 253 v8's.

Can anyone help?

Im pretty sure Torana 253 prefix should be "HR"
Have another look at it you will probaly find it is stamped "QR"
which is a HQ, HJ, HX, engine.

HR Prefix 253
HT Prefix 308
