Hey Everyone!

I am about to paint my girlfriends car soon, she has a UC Hatch and i bought her the number plates WILDUC for her birthday...

Anyway she has decided that she wants the colour to be Phantom Purple (BA XR6/8 colour) But we are thinking about doing some other feature colour on the car. We have chose a really hot silver to use as a line or something on the car. Because the UC has a sought of bonnet buldge we thought we could emphasise that, what do ya reckon?

This is a photoshop version.



Also what should i do for the rear of the car? i notice that the UC's had black around the tail lights... i tried to photoshop one silver and it didnt look all that hot, so i think i might just have the back all purple...

Anyway let me know what you think..

hahaha yeah thats wat i was thinking a bit... like putting a SLR5000 paint scheme on a cortina...

The colour will look fairly different on the torana anyway, and the bulge on the UC is a lot longer than the XR's so they will appear more as stripes..

Any other ideas for stripes? and locations?

Wow Matty! That'll look shweeeet.
Just go the black rear end....looks the goods. Will there be chrome strips?
Tint the tail lights with "nite shades".... I have done a spare set, when I fit 'em, I'll post a pic here if I remember...
Dunno about the silver stripes (being an old fart), what sort of tint is going on the windows? Silver metallic or black? Could determine your choice....choice bro eh?

Ooooh, enough of the poor humour........

Knoath - Yeah there will be all the chrome strips on the car, as the car has been in the shed for 20 years, the chrome is PERFECT! i am so jealous! haha
I like the idea of doing the tail lights as well, i might get her a spare set to do it on, so if she ever gets in trouble from the boys in blue i can swap them back no hassles
For the moment we are going to get some centrelines for the car and polish them right up. Ideally i would love to get some big rims under it, as i think the UC looks suit 17's so much better than lh/lx do... But i think i might make her save up for them... maybe some 17inch GTS style rims! hahaha PIMP IT!

Guns N Roses - Yeah could try just doing around the windows etc with the silver, that would look pretty cool, not too sure about the bonnet though... but in saying that the last pic that leakey did looks so cool!

Leakey - THEY LOOK AWESOME!!! The colur u have photoshopped there is alot closer to how we want it too look! i really want to get her a big set of rims too... she aint made of money, so hopefully some nice centrelines and a lowered stance will do the trick.

Her heart is pretty much set on the XR Phantom Purple, so i cant see that changing, we are off to buy the paint next week.

That two tone one u did looks kinda cool! if it was my car i would almost think about it (and had money to burn!)

JBird - I never even thought of the gpack style striping... not sure how it would look on a UC hatch though... as Gpacks were only ever sedans... hmm maybe worth a photoshop tho...

We went the the paint shop last week and silver on purple was definatly the best combo we could find, we did a heap of different contrasting colours and silver and purple came out the winner!

In my Gf's words "I WANT BLING!" haha

if you want bling you need to perhaps take a look at the latest PPG offerings, radience and vibrance..man now that is bling !!

no production cars come out with those lines of paint so you will get one off and totally out of this world paint..

I also like the big fat cobra stripes down the middle, and i would probably only go them on the bonnet as well, it would be a bit hard to do it down the whole car...

Yeah im not sure about having the stripes on the back as well, it then starts to look to Racing try hardish... i like the look of them just on the front... but hey its not my car, Maddy is the one who has to like it... ill show her them all and see what she says!

But she is steering towards this one, as it has some torana heritage in it and the bonnet bulge stripes make it a bit unique!

Has anyone actaully seen the LH SLR lines on a hatch before? even a UC to that matter? i just want to know how to put the lines down on the front guards, as they are different to the LX/LH

they all look hot i'm going with Rpm i like the stirpes down the middle front to back looks sweet. would love to see a photo chop of a lx hatch in phantom will silver slr blackouts
