To put it straight, my search for carbies is not going so good.

I want triples, but i only have a 161, so im restricted to 1.5". Np, i can find some.
BUT, every single set of triple SU and CD strombergs I have seen always have 'cable' linkages.

But my LC has bar accelerator.
I don't have the skills to convert from bar to cable.

I had a look at redline linkages, but they don't supply bar linkages for triple carbs at all.

Did LC XU-1 with Triple CD have cable or bar accelerator?
Does anyone know or have any triple carbs with bar setup

Thanks.

Hi

All XU1s were fitted with "torsion rod and relay shaft" linkages. I am sure that someone makes and sells an aftermarket copy on eBay. Someone on this forum will now who to contact.

I doub't if this item would fit SUs though. From memory SUs are cable controlled.

I am fitting SU's at the moment using the existing linkage. Mine shouldn't be too difficult

The standard rod is the right length for mine I will just have to buy another arm to fit it.

checkout the linkages on ebay made by the guy from the central coast.

these are made to identical gmh standards, right down to the same dies to press out the bearing plates etc.

he makes the sets to suit either lc or lj xu1 which fit to the original gmh stromberg manifolds.
