LH has a reinforcing structual section on the taillight panel in the boot
LH has C pillar seatbelts, LX has parcel shelf,
LH runs Course Spline, LX runs Fine Spline
LH 4cyl are called Torana, LX 4cyl are called Sunbirds
LH doors have the 'don't forget about your keys' mechanism, LX doors lock always.
LH has no carbon canister, post ADR27A Stromberg and a few other things.
LH has no swaybars, or they were only availible on SL/Rs and GPaks
I could go on for ever, and I'm sure there are a lot of differences that I don't know about yet. If you're not sure about something, ask here before you attack it and someone will know.

Not quite correct. The Sunbird wasn't released until Nov 76, so from the LX release in Feb 76 to Nov that year (10 months), the 4 cyls were called LX Torana 1900, the same as they were in the LH series.
AFAIK most LH Toranas have carbon canisters, it's only the '74 production that does not have them, 75 & 76 do.
Also from Feb to June 76 they didn't use ADR27A gear on the LX, it was pretty much the same as late LH.
Early LX had the same sway bar availability as the LH. It wasn't until RTS was introduced (4 cyl Nov 76 & 6/V8 Mar 77) that sway bars became a standard fitting across the board.
I know I get picky, but this is how myths begin.
