Hey all,
as promised here is my old 75 model LH SLR that I owned for 7 years in the 80's. I sold it in Windsor NSW in 1988. I then saw it about 3 months later, then thats it...I wonder if it still exists ? (photo link below)

I bought it in Frankstone Vic in late 1980. It is was a genuine SLR, Maderine red, 4 speed. 3.08 LSD with after market Aircon. It came with Ford mirrors (as my current LX did which is freaky !!) and was stock. All I fitted was a 350 Holley and extractors and then I added the kidney 7 x 13 in wheels. I also fitted the diagonal exhaust tips behind the rear wheels which was all the rage back then...
Keen observers will notice that the 4.2 badges are missing as are the "TORANA" letters across the nose panel above the grill. I had a small accident and when it was repaired I asked them not to fit them.

Around 4 years later I then added the full flare kit (1984) and painted it a Monza Red Colour (?.. I just pointed at a nice "red" on a colour chart) . I fitted LX mirrors, then added the Cheviot Armourlite 7x14 & 9x14 wheels. I then added the front fog lights and Fluffy Dice. It always had the sheepskip seat covers.
I then removed the engine (1985) and gave it a basic freshen up and added some chrome etc...

By the way I bought the big wheels off a guy who owned an early Yellow Monaro who I met at a Sydney Torana club meeting that I went to once in 1983. It was at a small hall @ Parramatta somewhere ??

anyhow below is the link.....

I think your chances are slim to none unless you have a VIN number.

Monza Red and torana's is as common as Simmons wheels on toranas. There is plenty, must of been a hot hit colour in the 80's.

Yep I know...I am not trying to find it again, I mentioned on another thread that I used to own another Torana and thought you guys might be interested in the photos of it (being a nice car and all) and who knows it might still exsist ?? but I was'nt putting my house on it still being around... <_<
