I have the engine & front crossmember out of my car at the moment, as both have been rebuilt.
I took the control arms, stubs, brakes, etc off whilst the crossmember was still bolted on, and then removed the crossmember last, but now that the crossmember has been rebuilt, I am thinking of putting it all back together off the car, and then sitting the engine in place (on a crane of course), and then putting the whole crossmember back in underneath and just bolting it on & connect up the brakes.
The main reason for this, is that I am putting a high energy sump on the engine, and clearance was tight with the old sump, I imagine that it will be very difficult the the HE sump.

Can anyone forsee any issues with doing it this way?
