As I am sure most of you XU1 owners have a copy of Fiv Antonios and if your anything like me you would have refered to it numberous times. One thing I always find myself doing when flicking through is stoping at page 116 & 117 which lists the paint colours XU1's were available in and wondered what a car would look like in that colour. There sure is a huge list and many of the colours I have never seen so the reason of this thread is to try to create a list of as many photos of XU1 as we all can put together.

Cheers

Hi

Good idea - is there some way the mods can link submissions to a sticky database? From owner's own pictures and some from the internet, I am sure that most of the colours could be represented. The problem is sorting and avoiding duplication.

Good work guys!

thats the idea!

A sticky from mods would be a great addition Bazza! Maybe somebody can photoshop the ones we get from this tread all together then we all can look and drool!

Glad you like it RIM....I have an email from Bob Jane (who sold the car thru his dealership) that he ordered the car as a Promotions car and thus he ordered the different trim ...I have also found out that Southern motors had (6) 73 Bathurst cars allotted to them..5 were Adelaide built and mine was the only Brissie car he got.

scooter, I have never seen an XU-1 with that interior before, I like it :spoton: I did not realise that 73 Bathurst cars were built in Brisbane as well as Adelaide. You learn something everyday.

From what I'v'e been told it was the only 73 Bathurst xu-1 trimmed in the doeskin/chesnut. I know of a 73 Bathurst Cyan blue with a sand interior but they are pretty rare with the differing trim colours. My source told me of the 150 Bathurst homolgation cars in 1973 50 cars went to the Police , 50 to dealers and the other 50 to people in the know....(isn't that right Vinny???)
