just wanted to know if the wood grain dash was original in the LH slr.If so which models.

Yes it was, only in the 6cyl and 4.2's though. The 5000 had a black dash.

Was it the same case for LX SLRs? Did they have woodgrain for the 253's or black? Cheers.

Only LH's had the black, LX SS and A9X had the silver and SLR's could have woodgrain too

So youre saying an LX SLR(253) would most likely have silver but they could be optioned with woodgrain? Is this on the trim code? My code is 1890-65A Would that tell me what the dash was? The interior now is all black except for the dash as its been retrimmed. Thanks.

Don't think you can tell from your trim code but REDA9X will most likely know. I'm a bit sketchy!

Hi I believe the LH SL/R 202 and 253 both had the dark woodgrain dash, not sure about G-Pack though!

LH 202 and 253 had the dark woodgrain dash(darker than standard SL dash),black dash was only reserved for SLR 5000,L34s.LX SLRs had the silver dash all through the range,including SS,A9X.Don't know whether the woodgrain was an option for the LX as I have never seen a factory original which had one from the factory.

Just a correction to my previous post,I seem to remember that LH 202 and 253 had both light and dark woodgrain dashes and not only dark ones.
