choke cables for the lc & lj xu-1

I thought i'd post this question in this section hoping for some feedback.

does anyone know for sure which colour choke cables were used on the lc/lj xu1 strombergs?

Have seen them in both colours so did either model have a colour change or is it just a case of what ever was available at the time, which ever the case there must have been an original standard used.

I can't say that I am an expert - but I can't say that I have noticed white ones in any pictures that I have seen. Maybe white ones were aftermarket or custom made.

As quoted ! But not sure of cutoff date for colour change ? the wheels test car " PWH 161 " a pink lj had white cables. Just about every H k,t,g engine bay i've seen in a non-mucked with state has white choke cables.

thanks for all the inputs.

The black n white gmh pic i have shows the lj as black but like xuidave says not sure of cutoff change.

The other pic is also black n white for the lc which appears to be white.

I can get my hands on the white cable (5mm o.d.) with 2mm ( i.d.) but it has a stainless wire which measure 1.4mm.

They looks perfect to me, just slightly see thru, so i may put them on ebay around end of this month for about $35 a set of 3 with matching choke plates to follow.
