My Dad wants to buy me steel wheels for the torrie (bday. my 13's are too small), and thinking of powder coating them grey or black.

I was wondering whats there around to choose from, what brands are there?
Wanting to buy the rims new.

Matt is in Qld.

For 14"s, go either Volvo stockies (two diff styles afaik), or HK (etc.) early or late stockies
For 15"s, go Volvo Interceptors

All of those wheels can look very nice, but I wouldn't advise you go brand new, maybe go second hand and then pay someone to restore them.

Also, you can get Commodore interceptor style centre caps (only adapted to torana/rwd volvo stud pattern) in die cast steel, chrome plated, off eBay. I got some for the Torrie and they look wicked. I think I paid about $70, and they'll finish off my chromies with a nice set of wheelnuts.

Is there a car that runs 13" stock that matches Torana PCD?

Thanks for that FastEH.

Can I assume that they all have the same +30mm offset too?

No, you cannot. There are different offsets for different models.

and another thing to look out for in steel rims is that early rims foul on disc brake calipers..if you find a set of rims it would need to be from HR onward.

torry rims wont clear a HR caliper.

with mags the above does't apply.

So HR,HK,HT,HG,VB(4cyl) are all possibilities for a 13" rim with roughly the right offest on a 4.25" PCD.

Narrows the field a bit, but still doeable I guess.

Might even be easier to find some old mags too.

Thanks for the heads up, it's well appreciated!

Yeah just a little longer than 1 or 2 hours I'd be willing to drive - you should move to Melb...joke....
