was hoping to get up there but the boss want have any of that. anyway keep your eyes open for a mates HR with 400ci turbo blow-thru set up. he was on the cover of oct (i think it maybe nov) street machine. its his first run with the new 850 CSU carby and thumper turbo. anyone who is doing a turbo v8 needs to have a look at his setup.. Mint. :spoton:

As an aside, rumour has it that MRMAD and BWARND will be match racing through the day. That's got to be worth the price of admission on its own !!

Nutboy and I will be there. We will be in the pits with BWARND. Yeah yeah we know its a Ford but the Cortina is the closest thing Ford has to a Torana :finger:

Holden V's Ford meeting was great !!!

Saw SUXGAS run a few 8's, didn't see any other forum members (or the blo-thru SBC powered HR)

Hey Struggler do you race the car in your avatar? I was looking out for it. How did you go?

When you are competing or helping out in the pits you don't usually get a chance to see other cars race. After BWARND had the transbrake failure (traced back to a faulty solenoid), we packed up and watched some passes. That MRMAD is awesome, still sorting out those new turbos. It is still accerating hard as it crosses the line. Can't really put it into words...savage power delivery. Would have been nice to see a proper combined pass with both cars, unfortnately it didn't happen.

Yes, thats it. Red HQ 1 tonner. Unfortunately got beaten in the second round.
Car ran well all day though despite the heat.

As the exhibition passes where on just before the S/ST qualifying I missed all those runs, just heard them from behind. MRMAD's new turbos look to be effective though.
