ive heard here that the toyota calipers are really heavy. are the surf versions any better than the aforementioned calipers or are they one and the same? are they the same pads as skylines therefore offering a wide choice of pad composition?

All cast iron
All heavy
And yes they take the Skyline WRX pad profile (not exact but will work)

Now the question is......... why ?

they were an option discussed by myself and a guy from the historic racing fraternity. im at the stage where my front end is all out and i have to make a decision on what to put in. the brakes on my vy wagon are shit so why use them ,the brakes on my hz wagon are shit so why use them? i dont want to use 15 inch or larger rims and as you have already done a heck of a lot of research you are the guy here to ask.
