That is an absolute Beauty, congrats on the purchase :spoton:

Love the interior too, but a bitch to keep clean id reckon.

Not usually a fan of billet rims but they are seriously sexy on the ute and suit it really well.

Nothing to complain about there, looks good. A resonable replacement for the torrie if you have to let it go.

Looks good, would look better with a Pre-WB front though (hate those things)

Hey Sam

did you get your MSD issues sorted.

By the way the ute looked awsome crusin the nats on friday. kept meaning to catch up with you.

Hi guys,

Thanks for all your comments, I love the thing!

Yeah got it all sorted EVENTUALLY!! Spent all day sunday with a mate in his shop goin through all wiring in the bay and part under the dash.

I forgot to metion to everyone that I had a small fire in the engine bay when a fuel line washer let go and squirted fuel over the MSD. The previous owner used sump type washer gasket things instead of copper/aluminium. I tossed that shitty setup and got holley connectors and go fuel going straight into the carb instead of the shitty shamfered edge type setup.

If theres one thing I will stress... its to ALWAYS carry a fire extinguisher, it saved me and im glad I had one.

Along with that I lost the key to my daily driver commodore (ended up with no car to drive) and a $238 for talking on my mobile while driving, trying to talk to mates about getting me back on the road.

All in all a pretty eventful summernats... mind you the car is ok and minor so im lucky in that respect, but it kept me from goin to the nats half saturday and all sunday.

any other plans for it later on?

My plans are to use the top end i got with a bigger stronger bottom end, maybe a 370 bottom end from a mate out of a sprint car or build a 383. If not just whack it on the 350.

Good stuff Sam. Thanks for trusting me to paint the LX, a very steep learning curve, but all good all the same. Like Brocky said, "Chew off more than you can handle, and start chewing like crazy".

'Bite of more than you can chew, and chew like hell.'

I think you mean.

Fire extinguishers are great. Our boat caught alight the other day (bilge pump jammed, wires heated, shorted, sparks, flames etc etc) and the fire extinguisher helped a fair bit there.

^ yes I did. Sorry laying bricks, picking up dog, and drinking beer made for a very tired boy last night + the excitement of having TIG leads I have NFI what to do with yet. Same feeling I had about girls when I was 7, didn't know what I liked about them, but something told me it would be good.
