Hi Folks
Can anyone tell me whether seat belts can be rebuilt or restored. I am interested in keeping the seatbelts in my LJ 'period correct' and am trying to locate an authorised repairer/restorer.
TIA

Gday Bazza.
LJs had no inertia reels did they? They were just belts with adjusters and buckles?
Either way ring the guys at Seatbelt Solutions. Theyre in Perth but do heaps of mail order work. THey will put brand new webbing on your belts using all your original hardware so that you dont have to change a thing!!
Their work is excellent and their prices were VERY reasonable. I( had my front 2 reels done for the HQ, and they told me how to measure for extra webbing which we did and they installed the new webbing with the extra length in a hurry for me while i was in perth on a short trip. Great guys, Excellent work, and theyre certified and give you a certificate saying that theyre legal!

Hi Tiny
That's great info. I was vaguely told that 'someone in WA does that stuff' so this seems to be the place.
Thanks again

They certainly can re-web inertia reels, I dont know wether they can repair them or not, mine were in good working order.
