Blue crank into red motor

gday fellas im puting a blue crank into my red motor, the sump has the gtr style baffel in it and i was told that tha bigger counter wieghts will hit the baffel unless i cut it down. any feed bak on that??

Correct. Somebody on the phpBB posted a pic of the modification needed to clear the counterweight. Hopefully it will re-appear.

I don't know anything about the sumps of Toranas, was it only the GTR sump with baffles that there is an issue with?

is the gtr style the one with the little door on a hinge in it?
cause i found one on one of my old engines.

shit can i just cut the baffel down with a die grinder?? yeh that little door on the hinge is the one is the xu1 the same does anyone no????

I had to do it on my lc but when i pulled it down you could see how much to grind back , not too much and took a few minutes , I wish that some one had told me , REX

Somebody posted a pic on the phpBB clearly showing what needed to be done. If that pic could re-appear, it would help a few people here.

its about 1/2" up from trap door and most of the way accross that you have to remove
i did the same conversion a couple of years ago and was ready to burn it before i was finished
