Hey, I know we covered this topic on the last site but I've got a bit I can't remember about. Am currently setting up my LH and have put Koni adjustables in the rear. Because the car is still regularily street driven I want to maintain some drivability and safety so I only plan to put 6cyl shocks and springs up front to give me some weight transfer but not as much as 90/10's etc. which would leave me all over the shop in terms of cornering.

My question is about the rear springs, are these also supposed to be soft to allow the shocks to do the downforce or are they hard like the shocks to push the wheels down as well?

Actually, does anyone know perhaps how soft a set of 6cyl shocks might be, perhaps a set of 70/30's might be about the same...?

Cheers,

Liam

Liam, I used Pedders standard height rear springs in my LH dragcar. It was running 28-10-15 slicks, so i kept the whole thing standard height. I had the Koni shock on the drivers side set a bit firmer, with a polyair bag in that spring. The front had standard height Pedders 6 cylinder springs with 90/10 shocks. Car left the line with the left front wheel just about of the ground, you could drive it with one hand.
New owner has only done about 10 passes in the car, says it beautifull to drive.
Best et 10.80@126mph.

Sweet, thanks Andrew. So standard height are the way to go. Talk to me about the polyair setup, you talking about only drivers side rear yeah, not the front, do you set it at say an inch higher than others, do you remember how much it set you back?

Was the car ever street driven? How did it go? My car will be more a part time drag car and more a weekend warrior so was wanting to make a compromise between hook up and driveability. I will set up the back full on but leave the front a little less amped withe the 6cyl shocks and springs I think.

Cheers,
