Obvioulsy there will be a lot of guesswork with this but I am looking at a 308 that produces 245 RWHP(guestimate of 350 Flywheel HP ) in a WB ute with a turbo 350 behind it. I was wondering what might that do in an LX torana with a M21 4 speed & 3.08 diff behind it as far as 1/4 mile times go ?
Will it be a nice little engine or not really much improvement on what I have now - which is a 308, mild cam, extractors, quaddie ...

Thanks in advance.

Depends on the dyno.

I had a 308 that made 400 flywheel HP (on an engine dyno) and 278 at the tyres (212kw)through a Super T10 and Salisbury rear (on a Dyno Dynamics dyno, no changes to the engine dyno tune). Ran 12.2 in the manual LX, 11.8 in an auto VH C/dore. Based on that I would say mid to low 13's.

Due to dyno calibration, results may vary.

I'm into wiggly stuff. Never done a quarter mile in it. That may all change by March. A fair few changes in my life at the moment, so when the settle down, all will be goodly.

also depends how good of a driver you are with the stick shift, going from an auto to a manual will have a big difference on launch & 60ft times, also those old aussie 4spd shifters can jamb or miss gears quite offten... hope it goes well for you
