When the XU1 was introduced the engine blocks had extra webbing around the rear main. What I was wondering was whether this modification was carried over into all six cylinder blocks after the introduction of the XU1?. When the L34 was introduced it also had a number of modifications to the block which were carried over into all 308 blocks made after that so I thought GMH may have done this after the XU1 as well. I could go and have a look at one myself if I only knew somebody that had a six cylinder Holden.

CK.

as far as could tell they did

I looked at the JP but I could not move the QL as it is covered in crap

I had a feel around the area and it seems to be the same

The QL also had extra strengthening behind where the starter goes, (three raised lines)

My JP (103 number) doesnt have them, but would a 1973 JP??

Cheers
