I have arp studs, a black head, red block, copper gasket but i guess all that matters is the studs, i was wondering what you guys use with studs (not bolts).
I have heard you dont need the GM stud sealer with arp studs, is that crap?

Has anyone used a alternative with studs, performance and reliabiltity are more important than price.

Don't use 3Bond on the studs. Save it for the gasket. As ALX76 said, use a non-hardening sealer.

I have used the Holden sealing compound (GMH P/no. 3835215) but Loctite thread sealer is a little less messy on studs (same as the ARP thread sealer).

Hope this helps.
