found a 13x6inch steel wheel the other day, it has holden and the 8/74 stamped into it but what came out with 6 inch wide steel wheels??

it looks the same as the 5.5inch wide steel wheels that SLRs had

very curious!! :spoton:

GTR's had 13x6's, didn't they? And are you sure that SLR's had 5.5" wheels?

Sorry Rim, but i am pretty sure GTRs only had 5.5" wide rims.

I'm not sure but I think LX SS and SL/Rs had 6" wide rims.

I've been told differents stories including all UCs having the 6"s, or just the SL/T having the 6"s, and "SL/R"s do as well apparantly, whether that is all SLRs or just L31s, or if SSs are included (I mean of course they would have been; I just wasn't told that) I have absolutely no idea.

Anyway, that's just what people have told me. I'm adament they're a factory item but I dunno what had them.

I just checked the numbers on one of the original rims, and my UC SL/T came with the standard steel rims (5.50JJx13) and hubcaps. The tyre placard on the glovebox lid does say that either 5.50JJx13 or 6.00JJx13 are fitted, but the optional GMH alloys were 6.00JJx13.

All I can confirm for certain is the UC is 5.5 or 6 in the alloy. Thought the LX was 5 in,(but apparently wrong there) maybe I was thinking the HT with a 14 x 5in, which is torana stud pattern as well?
I also thought I read that the lx v8s may have got 6in steel rims......just to add to the lack of knowledge here!

LX SLR and SS 5.5X13 std. 6.0 X 13 optional in alloy or steel.
LX others were 4.5 X 13
As stated UC 5.5 X 13 std and 6.0 x 13 in alloy

There were dealer option 13x6 alloys for LH and/or LX, but nothing from the factory.

They were optional and manufactured by ROH. The centers were push through and were a GMH part. My hatch pictured was a GMH executive vehicle and fitted from new.
