Hi i got a lj 4sp console but its a bit rough if i spray it with vinyl paint will it fade and rub off over time?
is there anything to seal it with to prevent this?

It probably will flake off a bit after awhile. When I reco them I give it a few coats of matt black and then a satin coat afterwards (after removing the silver surround which is touch & go - sometimes they can break!). It's not a hard job, you can always touch it up in the future if need be...
