I have put new second hand wheels on my car increased for 13 to 14 etc. I had lowered kings in from centre to gaurd it is 330mm with 253 and UC. I have used the search function but have not found the answer I am looking for thus the question.

I would like to get it about 1 inch lower. I know I could get the springs reset but am not in a position to do where I live. I would like to know if I get some 6cyl springs that are heavy duty statndard hieght or lowered what the measurements would be. If anyone could help it would be appreciated. I am about to pull the front end appart hence the question. Cheers steve

my local king springs dealer told me the Low 6cy king spring can be used as a super low for a v8.

i just went the proper v8 low ones and the ride height it great, can actually get over speedbumps, i have 14's also. i have no urge to go lower, ever. i luv it

low v8 king springs = 25mm lower from memory
low 6cy king spring with a v8 = around 50mm lower

i have lowered 6 cyl king springs on my SLR with a stroked 308 and its not too low it sits perfect and the only time it bottoms out on speed humps is if i take them a little too quick, then the X member bounces off the speed hump, and it even seems to be still legal, oh and im running 14 inch rims as well. so it would have worked but oh well youve already made a decision and you sound happy with it

LX8VD69 Are your srpings lowered 6 springs or standard heavy duty? If possible can you measure your wheels from the centre to the gaurds for me? Have just noticed in your picture it looks like you have flares

yeah mate i have a full A9X body kit on mine so im sorry i cant measure from the centre of the rim to the guard for you sorry. in regards to springs they were the lowered 6 cyl springs out of the king springs catalogue, part number KHFL44. sorry again i cant measure the height for you but i still have 190mm from the ground to the bottom of my sills if thats any help to you, i remember speaking to a local copper about 18 months ago i think about how low i can go and i think he said that as long as there was 100mm ground clearance it was still legal although it seems to befashionable for the coppers to measure from the centre of you rim to the bottom of the guard these days

cheers adam
