Has anyone had anything to to with Genie shifters? What do you think of them?
(they are commonly found in Hot Rods I believe)

Secondly is there web link to anyone that sells them? And have you dealt with this retailer? was he agreeable to deal with.

I was thinking of going B & M (quicksilver) but a friend told me about Genie shifters and how they are a full linkage setup and not reliant on a cable, I understand they are not cheap.

I am looking for one for my LX (Trimatic) - Genie or alternative to B & M.

Alternatively any suggestions?

Cheers

Do Genie make a shifter or adaptor to suit your trimatic. If you dont want to go the B&M shifter there is also the brand Hurst. I know a few people who run this brand shifter

I am told they do, my mate has one for his Th700 and assured me they are available in Trimatic. he gave me a guide as to where I could get one but I cant find the company on the web.

"The shifter in my car is a genie shifter I got mine from junkyard
classics in Sydney. I don't know the number but I am sure you will be
able to find it easy enough. If you punch in genie there is a website.
The other place you could try to get one from is hot rod hardware in
Melbourne that's where I got my dash and he was nice to deal with".

I cant find the genie website.

Never heard of them!

Can vouch for the B&M Pro ratchet though.. installed one of these in the monaro and shifting problems were solved! high quality cables supplied too!

Cheers
