gday all,

My drivers side sunvisor is officialy deceased as of 6:31PM yesterday afternoon. Death was caused by a split down the main body, and seperation from the metal shaft that supports it in the roof.

On a serious note where can i get replacements? Obviously there are places that for a sum of ~$300 they can provide me a concourse show condition sunvisor, but since I have neither the $300 or the concourse show condition car to go with it, I need something affordable.

Any ideas?

I have a mate who is a trimmer who has offered to 'knock something tempary together' for me, but i would really prefer to fix it. And preferabley with the correct material if possible... :fool:

Seems to be a common problem, mine is splitting across the body near the mount as well.

Are left and right interswapable? Might be a short term fix until you find one?

Good luck getting one. Not sure about interchangable idea. Usually they have moulded themselves to suit the roof lining on whatever side they are on so if you were to put them on the other side, may look odd.

Thanks for the comments people. I don't think they are interchangable.

I expected as much gtrtorana. Looks like i might have to go a custom job or something.

My trimmer mate reckons maybe the way to go is to make them out of fibreglass. I will be looking into this over the next few weeks, seeing as without a drivers sunvisor I assume my car is now technicaly unroadworthy...
