White needle is LH.

Yellow needle is LX. Not sure of changeover dates and if there was any overlap though.

Yellow is the more sought after as far as I know.

Cheers

Most likely ^ They often have the date on the back of the clusters too - in a triangle marked 11/76 or similar... That might give some indication.

They did the colour change in the kingswoods too.
I prefer white, but i do have a LH.
The most sort after, it would have to be white speedo with both mile and kph on it wouldnt it?
I think these are LH SLR issue only?
Ive seen both the 160kph and 200kph with mph conversions in LH SLRs.

Yep someone has changed yours piranha - maybe to keep the odometer correct (guessing). All the SL/R speedos are the higher speed ones.

I beg to differ.
I pulled a 160kph speedo from a genunine SLR with 202.
It had the mph printed underneath the kph too. The car was a LH.
Maybe not the case for the LX.

Here's a curly one>>> I've got 2 SLR Dash Clusters. The one in the L34 is a white needle, 200kph with 6 Black and 1 white reel. That's 7 all up..

The spare one ( white needle ) has 5 Black and 1 white. Can anyone explain this?
They're both SLR/L34 clusters with 7000 tacho etc.
