I hope to enter this event as I would like to see what my Torrie will do up the hill. My previous best time was a 29.06 and that was set with a 200 HP 6 Cyl VC Commo. The Torrie should blitz that time.... I am hoping for high 26's.

Huntley Hill Climb is close to Dapto (south of Wollongong)
Sunday 1 Apr

This is my Mate Steve in his L J Sports Sedan (yep its the one with the ford motor fitted) he normally gets along to these events.

Well I had a lot of fun at this event... talk about a variety of cars, it ranged from a VE HSV GTS 307 to a Harry Potter Mobile - Ford Anglia Turbo!! There were also 4 LJ XU1's and of course my LX Beastie... I took a few photos so when I find time tonight I will post them up.
I had trouble all day getting traction when I needed it  but I managed to better my time on every run. I was even wheel spinning in third gear uphill towards the fork which was amazing... and of course up the top after the left hander (in 2nd) was a handfull, then going across the line in 3rd hanging on for dear life... god its moving at the finish line and the road is very narrow. But all good.. its a buzz. :spoton:

Good on ya Pete....
3rd Gear wheel spin across the finish line would have scared the shit out of the turkey up there!!!
Hows the surface holding up at Huntly? Last time I ran there it had a lot of patches and holes between the fork and the right hander?

Cheers Greg..

I can't wait till Team Torana WA gets all 4 of our cars into the hillclimb ans sprint series
Gotta love abit of trees on the side of the road action

At least your hillclimb has spectator access
Ours isn't spectator friendly. but its a whole bag of fun

Thanks Guys... :spoton: never had anything of mine on you tube before... :D

Greg the road surface is ok I suppose... the large crack you can hear just after I pass the camera man on the Youtube video is me dropping my left front wheel off the circuit and the exhaust hitting the ground
If you also listen as I change into third coming up to the fork you can hear me back off... well thats because the road surface just there is rough and was causing 3rd gear wheel spin  and that put my off line at the fork and then the off line half loose "crack". This video is me on my 2nd run... I did 5 all up and my best time was a 28.7. and yep your right about the turkey up there at the finish line... scared the nut behind the wheel also.

as promised photos to come... stand by.

If you look at the photo above ^ next to the pink XU-1 there is a dayglo green mini that has a Honda engine in it.... and he is a local, so I assume it is him you are talking about.
The Lotus is a Jet... I think he got into the high 23's.
