Miss Hatchy's Dad and Brother need some lowered Torana shocks for the rear of the HZ project car. The 9 inch they picked up second hand had taller than std HZ mounts on it and was not relised untill 12months later. To get the ride height back to aceptable they need some lowered Torana rear shocks. The local Pedders stores claim to no longer have them in stock.
Has anyone recently found/bought/used lowered rear Torana shocks other than pedders. If so can you please list what make and part numbers if possible. Looking for something 25mm lower than standard rear shocks

Cheers Hatchman

I dont doubt you need lowered shocks but they wont change your ride height, lowered shocks just dont extend as far as standard shocks.

i used to use monroe but havent ordered lowered shocks myself for years now.
Most good parts stores have the cattledogs and sales rep contacts to order such parts.

EDIT after re reading your post you sure its not springs your after?

Maybe I should of added. They already have the Torana springs in. They need the shocks to go with them.

I just bought a pair of lowered shocks for the UC from Pedders, off the shelf.
Will get the part no. later,
or try ringing Pedders Campbellfield (VIC) (03)9357-6500. Lou is great to deal with.
Good luck.

Yeah I would have thought the same as ALX76 - fair enough you need shorter shockers, but I thought it was purely the springs that determine the ride height of the car? Short throw shocks just won't allow as much travel???

I've been meaning to buy a pair of the Pedders ones myself one of these days!
