can anyone help with the id of the ww2 stromburg carby wanting to know what the numbers stand for on the fuel bowl.

OK From the Stromberg Manual

All Manual Box Carbies

LC GTR 2600S 1969/71 23-3041 WW/2375058 Replacement 2375058
173S 1971/72 23-3048 WW/2375065 " 2375065

HT HT 186S 1969/70 23-3053 WW/2375044 " 2375058

HR HK HT 186S 1967/69 23-201: 23-201A or 23-201B " 2375058
WW/381205

Basically as replacements for all are the same carbie any carbie listed for 161S and 186S will substitute for a GTR 161S. The 186 has larger jets only.

So look for:
23-3041
23-3053
23-201
23-201A
23-201B

The 23-3048 carbie for the 173S appears to be exactly the same also as all service parts match exactly. Even the same jet sizing. So add that to the acceptable list also.
