electronic dizzy into lx 253

hi guys,i just bought a big cap vk dizzy.old one was points and it was stufed.i know i need a new coil ! but can i just wire up new coil or do i have to rewire for 12v.can i use some kind of relay to convert 9v to 12v and are all lx,lh,uc torana`s 9v

yes, the old yellow wire needs to be run into a relay to trigger 12v to the neew system.
