and at my local milkbar, 1 Maxibon ice-cream costs $3.20

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA milkbar?!?!?
why don't you go put a dint in something??

no offence. I've got a victorian in my maths class and he calls delis milkbars aswell. don't worry I give him so much shit about it.

seriously good on you for talking how you want to. i just think the name milkbar is funny.

Hi Guys.

Milkbars and delis are different things. In Sydney most milkbars have now become just take-away food bars selling milkshakes and hamburgers etc, but a deli (short for delicatessen) sells cold meat cuts (ham/salami) and cheeses etc. Are things that much different in SA.

In victoria, Milkbars just sell things off shelf. thats it

It sucks because they don't sell hot foods or anything..

I don't care what I call it really deli/milkbar, what ever floats your boat

Farmers Union is the king of Ice Coffee now. Going back a few years ago now the Riverland had their own dairy (Fallands). Fallands flavored milks were the best by far. Sadly they were bought out by Berri when they got into the flavoured milk market and released their own range in those long life tetra or combiloc bricks. The Fallands recipes were not used by Berri so the best flavored milks disapeared. Berri milk didn't last long as Farmers Union and Nippy's dominated the market. Before Fallands were bought those two brands were not that popular.

I drink Farmers Union now only occasionaly. At one stage I was drinking 3-4lts a week plus around 6-8 200ml cups of coffe a day at work. It got to a stage where I was feeling sick every moring and taking 2-3 hours to get going and noticed a coffee smell occasionaly when I had to pee. I stopped drinking ice coffee and coffee at work and started feeling better within two weeks. I drink 4-6 cups of black tea now.

I long for the day Fallands Milk returns to the shelf (sadly thats not likley to happen).

On a side note. Have you ever noticed how much ice coffee heavy drug users drink and no food at all. Is known as the junkies meal.

When I was a junkie Iced coffee was an unnescesary (I can never spal that bloody word korektly) expense. Slurpees did it for it for me though. Interesting point about iced coffee making one sick. I stopped drinking it for that exact reason.

Monkey - A mate and I were stuffing around at work once (we both work in IT) and mapping drives was a part of our job. We were coming up with T Shirt designs and he found a picture of a chicken and came up with the chicken bread slogan. It means absolutely nothing and is one of those stupid things we thought of whilst bored. If I can dig up the picture with the shirt I'll post it up. I think the same day I posted a note on the for sale board on our intranet for Egg Winders (they dont exist) but the amount of people who enquired as to what they are was amazing. So I just made up bullshit with my replies and sucked them in even further...... Bored IT dudes with warped senses of humour generate crap like chicken bread. Just like the goats cheese and salami milkshakes we would order from the canteen just to see the look and the canteen ladies face....priceless. Oh yeah, and cruising around the office swapping the N and M keys on keyboards. We would then just sit back and wait for the phone calls reporting weird keyboard behaviour. Then we would piss ourselves laughing for the rest of the day.....

So yeah, a Southern Mongolian Crushed Coffee Bean and Avacodo Milk beverage, gently infused in Arctic Blue Sea Ice would definately go with a licquorice and cucumber Chicken bread sandwich. Man, I'm aweful hungry all of a sudden. Better chuck my rollerskates on and speed on down to the local Somalian Deli and grab a feed..... After all, it is ANZAC day.

someone do the maths, lets just say that iced coffee costs 2.50

2.50 x 364 = 910. now, lets just say you get it when you are 20, and you live till you are 75, thats 45 years, so.

910 x 45= $40,950

GTR please

Couldnt care less about Ice coffee, however, if only the basic operations of +,-,x,/ are used, the term arithmetic is a much more accurate way to describe how an answer has been calculated(despite arithmetic being technically part of the science of mathematics)

While we are talking arithmetic:
75 - 20 = 45?
364 represents?

i think he meant 365.25 (a more accurate number to use when calculating days in the year)and yes someone already pointed out that he stuffed up his other maths!
Hey Liam, i think you should spend less time on here and more time with your head in the books!

2.50 (Price of the IC) x 365.25 (days in the year) = 913.125
Now lest say its for the next 55* years of your life... so thats now

913.125 x 55 = $50221.875

is that better DA?

Matt, why would you bother trying to explain something to a member that has a long history of picking on other members about petty and insignificant things? From memory, this is how some of the shit fights started.

To your corners...

I stopped drinking IC 14 days ago now.
Since i have, i feel heaps better, as i was feeling exactly the same as what you said.
I still want a IC everyday, but i just have a strawberry milk or a crunch to fill the hole the IC would normally.
I now eat heaps more too, but, i just can't get over how much brighter more i feel.
Thanks doc!

Yep almost the same here.

Had chest pains and tightness about 11-12years ago. Did the doctor's requests and they can back with nothing.

Got off the 5-7 cups of coffee a day (yes it adds up) whilst driving the desk and bingo, all good now.

Just once in a while now.

Weak tea to be social.

I personally think that most people drink Iced Coffee these days because they're somewhat addicted to it... I know a few guys who will have at least 2 a day, every day. It can't be good for ya, and it adds up cost wise, too...

Read this last night and then all I wanted was an ice coffee. Don't live near a shop/take away/deli/corner store/convenience store or what ever you have all desided to call them. Luckily I had to got o town today so I could get one. Had to have an IC though which isn't the nicest but was so desperate for one I stopped at the first "shop" and that was all they had.

*HB1200 4 pages of posts and no one has even given you a hint of an answer to you question that started this post (you think they have got side tracked?). Somehow you have managed to start a post that is way funny to read though.

Yeah so who owns the Yellow GTR?

I'm thinking of starting a thread about the Levi Jeans 538 poster with the Greeny Yellow coloured Kingswood (HK I think) with orginal KKC.2?? plates, to see if anyone know who owns it.

http://www.levis.com.au/

But it would probably just start a fight of which jeans are best... :tease:
