i took the boss kit of my lc and tried to put a standard lc wheel on but it wont fit,
it wont go over the splines should i just force it ? or is it possible that its not the original steering shaft?

maybe one is a lj? lc, lj are different splines.

The Answer is NO NO NO. Never force anything that was made to fit.
Count the number of splines in the wheel and on the steering shaft also check diameter. If not the same it will never fit. If the same check for burring or deformation on the wheel and shaft.
Remember any hammering may cause the collapable shaft to do just that.

i just counted the splines they both have 36

i take it the steering colom your using dosent have the ignition in the side of it, and the steering wheel has three spokes???
the lj standard gear has the ignition in the side of the colom and a two spoke steering wheel, cept for the gtr which was leather compared to the lc's wood outer...
