Hy just wondering if Camira spring will fit strait into a LX hatch and lower it at all? I read here before that they do. Do they work well has anyone used them?

Thanks
John

Why not just spend $110 on a pair of custom springs made to your specs that will be exactly what you want?

yeah makka has "bumpstop" issues with his camira springs. I agree with Chopper, it might be easier to just get custom springs set so you have the security of the stiffer ride..

I tried camira springs on my torana, they turned out to be way too low, the cat's were only sitting 30mm off the ground..
A slight modification is needed on the springs. Around an inch has to be cut off each end of the springs, increasing the diameter of them slightly so they can fit over the cups.

Rhys.

I have also heard that you can Use Commodore IRS springs and modify them to sit over the cups. I think this is what LXCHEV runs in the back of Shubes...

They are a bit firmer, and not as stupidly low (prob 3inchs lower...)

i just put a pair of std irs sedan springs into my project.
had to cut a little bit off either pigtail to fit over torana mounts.

ride height was spot on to the cut down gemini springs i had in it before.

Perfect ride height for 17's. guard sits about middle of tyre.

probably still a little too firm (nowhere near as firm as hd pedders etc), but at least now I have a good starting point to get springs made up.
