Guys, just wondering what the cost of acid dipping a 202 would cost?
Also, what needs to be done, eg: does the engine need to be pulled apart into individual componants (head/block) etc?

Thanks.

Fully stripped. Don't know how much it costs.

stripping it yourself will give you a good indication what is worn and what machine work, if any, is needed.

youd need to strip the engine and make sure you get out all the core plugs and grub screw from the block. if you lived in perth i could do it for you for a carton.

To answer one of your questions the whole motor has to be stripped. Then acid dipped for it work efficently. You also need to seperate alloy from normal steel, (put them in seperate tanks). where are you located. I may be able to help

Thanks for the replies.

I live in Wagga Wagga. I think there is somewhere here to do it. I was mainly just after a rough price so I know if I'm going to be getting ripped off or not.

Thanks.

You'll have to add removing the cam brgs & then replacing them with new ones to the cost as well.

An engine reconditioner in your area should be able to do the whole job for you.
