have had a good V8 3 core radiator out of a wb/hq sitting about for ages and was intending to use it to go in the LX. I'm in the process of mounting the AU thermofans to it and have had to modify the radiator mounting bracket slightly (the one closest to the motor) so that it clears the chassis rails / battery tray panel etc. I'm going to get the tanks removed and the cores poked while its out, now the top mounting holes onto the support panel are a close but not exact match and the bottom ones definitetly dont match up. Can the radiator shop put a V8 Torana mounting bracket onto this radiator? will it change the way the AU fans sit?
reason I ask is I'm trying to mock up the fans and radiator today, if the way it mounts up is different then I wont go any further on it.

HQ/WB 3core V8 Radiator into LX

We just did the opposite.
We got a radiator shop to remove some torana straps and fit HX ones we had lying around so we could fit the radiator to a HX.
I don't think it will make your fans fit differently if you have torana straps fitted. But don't quote me here.
It just cost me $80 to get the tanks taken off and cores cleaned, tank refited and HX straps fitted.
