Hi, just wanted to know if you can find out if an LC is a GTR by the body number.Just brought car off old guy who has to remember where he put the TAGS Bugger. All on car looks original though.Thanks.

Can't tell by the body number without an ID tag, which should read 82911.
Hope you didn't pay too much for it, because a GTR without tags is considered not really a GTR to be honest (in monetary terms at least!).
There are a few tell tale signs though, such as the flutes on the guard if they havent been welded in, and if they have a sort of "triangular" slit at the bottom rather than the perfect rare spares gap.

Thanks for the reply,Didn't pay much as the body is rusty,All the signs you mention look original,headers,flutes,badge holes etc. but got a load of spares.
Hopefully picking the Tags up today :-)
