After some opinions here.
If I were looking for a four door LJ with diskbrakes, manual gearbox, aircon.
Is it worth holding out for exactly that or can it all be found easily and added in later?
Was there more than one kind of aircon? if so is any one better than the others?
Do clutch pedals and master cylinders bolt straight in? need different tailshaft?
Do disc brakes need a whole different front end or just change hubs?
I'm no mechanic but have mucked around a bit.
Im sure Ill find posts with general points to look out for in this model so will search for that.

no torana came from the factory with air con. there were some dealer fitted air con units at the time.

clutch pedals go strait in, there mechanicaly operated not hydraulic so no master cylinder.

disk brakes bolt up with a change of hubbs.

all easy as really.

also
tailshaft same for all 6s
brakes bit more work, need stubaxel/hub assemblies plus brake booster and mounting bracket and change rear slaves
I have fitted air con under glovebox
if auto need change part of steering column and install clutch (cable easiest now
rattraps getting deat) and other small things
best find good straight low rust body (if you can) and build/change rest into it

thanks guys.
Ive been reading some of the posts about getting the front panels off and the doors off.
sounds a bit daunting, will make me look harder for a good body.
