Would anyone be able to outline the pros/cons for each?
I know pretty much nothing about lifters.

One of the reasons im asking, is because a mate of mine who i will be buying a set of roller rockers off, also wants to get rid of a set of solid lifters.
I dont know if these would suit a turbo holden 6.

Thats about it for now.

Lifters are decided by your cam, solid cam solid lifters and so on.

if the lifters are secondhand you probly shouldnt get them, its recommended to get new lifters.

a nice solid would sound awsome

As I see it:

Solids are used for getting max lift when using big cams..no pumping stroke on the lifter.

If you don't need big lift you don't need solids. Solids require frequent adjustment.

Hyraulics use part of the lift to pump oil to the rockers..if you can acheive the lift you need and still pump oil then a hydraulic is all you need, they are quieter and require less adjustment.

A mild 202 turbo won't use much bigger than a stock cam..so for mine a hydro is all you need.

ah right thanks.
im guessing a set of used solid lifters isnt going to be worth much? (even if they were not used for long)
