Around the 2 mins 21 seconds rings a bell for his final race lap, and not bettered for the next three years. Mind you, I'm half guessing at these, relying on a rusty (or is it rusting??) memory!

I saw this post a while ago, but I haven't been able to work out as yet, what the actual last lap time was for Brock in 79. I can tell you this though, brock was hammering in Qualifying and was about 2 seconds quicker than the next. He was going for the 160kmh 100MPH lap average. He didn't quiet make it as he stuffed up in the cutting and had to go back to 1st. He was only about 2 seconds off getting it, so had he not stuffed the cutting, he might have made it. BTW he wone by 6 laps over Janson.

The times posted above by LXChev366 were qualifying times, not race lap times. Qualifying times are usually lower than race lap times.

Hmm, methinks "I'm the man" with a head full of useless facts, rather than next week's cross lotto numbers!
