After watching the Aussie Racers at Bathurst this year on TV last night and having seen them live at the Clipsal a few times I have now formed the opinion that the Aussie Racers are far more entertaining than what the V8's have become. I used to be right into the V8's but lately its become a tad dull. On any weekend you are lucky if there are 5 drivers (yes the same 5 every race) that can win and there is not much overtaking. Thank God for the rain at Winton it actually livened it up a bit. The Aussie Racers are full of action with non stop overtaking. I'd rather watch those Aussie Racers now than the V8's.

I agree with you Rob!

I saw them at Bathurst last easter and they are awesome to watch.

Not that expensive to get into either. You can go racing for around $50K

I've seen them up close to and yes, terrific to watch. A lot of gung ho cowboys in the field the day I saw them.
I liked the reverse gear. Electric motor engages a ring gear on a back wheel

They put on a goo show and are exciting to watch. They're small enough to fit four wide on a track no probs and it's not an un common site. Apart from Bahrain the tracks arn't wide enough for V8 Supercars to get three wide safely .
When they were called legends and raced at AIR when the AUSCAR/NASCAR's came to town it was great to see them line up on the 1/4 and have a donut session.

Them Aussie race cars are entertaining, however i love my v8's, V8SA need to do something to encourage more overtaking in the v8 series. They tried reverse grid races, now they have top 15 only gain championship points. And i don't think it's working. Might see some more over-taking soon when they change tyre manufacture contract.
On a side note: I downloaded a DTM race the other day, and i must say that our v8's are much much more better than their touring car series.

Cheers.
