Les

The square interior light as per every 70's Holden I have seen is silver.

Rares Spares only ever had the Black one available.

What is the chance of a silver style being made available please?

Cheers

Thanks for the response Les.

I have both a new black NOS from RS and also a second hand original if fair condition.

slr5640, thank you very much for the offer, I really wanted a new silver one. So keep yours for when you might need it. Cheers

What Holdens had the black from factory?

Has anyone had success painting the black silver?

Cheers

Maybe it can be plastic chromed.

Rub it over with a scotch brite then paint it with Export brand silver enamel. One light coat and you wont pick the difference between it and a brand new one. Plastic chroming is relatively expensive from experience.

Thanks toranavista.

It sound like you have done it before.

I believe painting on plastic is quite tricky.

Baron, I'm with Vista on this one, the chrome on them was never really ashiny chrome finish. I painted one up with a chrome can of spray paint and it came up exactly the same as a new one.

I bought 3 sorta recently
First one was silver
But I didn't want that one I wanted a black one to suit the black headlining I wanted to put in
I've since found 2 black ones which have genuine # on box of 92010562

I can't find the brand new silver one I bought.... probably around here somewhere but no idea where
I think the black ones were Commodore
