getting outrigger in between rails

having all sorts of trouble lining up the holes for the outrigger on the subframe to the chassis rails. had all sorts of trouble getting it in but managed to compress it in, but now I cant line the holes up.

is there an easy or proper method / sequence for doing this?

I have used a ratchet tie down to pull the outriggers in before now, quite effective !! This makes it a bit easier to manouver.

Get the outrigger bolts in first, then the top mounts and bolts/nuts.

using a smaller diameter rod to lever the holes into position once its squeezed in works. or a taper lead on the bolt.
