Who out there knows the tricks behind cleaning up an old dash? My dash has small amounts of rust on the numbers and stuff in the dash. Now i dont want to ruin in by sanding it or stain it by using something heavy duty on it. So what is the best way to clean it up without doing any damage?

cheers

When you say "numbers and stuff" I assume you're talking about your gauge cluster?
Anything harsh enough to take rust off will definately damage the writing on a gauge.
A dude I know got a sign writer mate of his to re-do to faces and markings of his standard gauge cluster, they came up a million bucks!
You could try something like this or look for a new cluster.
By the way, how does a plastic part rust???

hey mate.. yes i do mean the guage cluster. Its a mates cluster off his monaro... for some reason these clusters are prone to getting rust sticking to the speedo numbers and other white "line" marking in the dash

cheers
