My first question, what what does the 1809 from the Trim code 1809-40V represent?
Secondly, where these door trims originally fitted to LC GTRs?

40V = Black vinyl. I can't find a reference to 1809 but it usually corresponds with the external colour.
The door trims are not original - see LC GTR below.

Now another question, the "stitching" in the GTR door trims I understand is actually RF vinyl welded into the trim. Is it a huge problem if the pattern is stitched for real? I can save myself a bundle of money if that is case.

1809-40VI have searched here and Googled information and have only managed to decode the plates to confirm I have an Electra Blue LC GTR 11/70.

1809 represents the exterior colour
40V represents interier trim colour and desighn/material

Seats are stitched - trims are welded? I am not sure of the technicalities but I would call it "heat pressed". A set of repros for the doors and rear sides costs about $660.
RF = Radio Frequency? I know it's done on a big machine with old fashioned radio valves (vacuum tubes).

it depends on if your selling or keeping..
If you selling get the correct trims as it will come back to haunt you when its time to sell and people say...incorrect trims
They are fairly cheap anyways these days, and you only have to buy them once
the vinyl is roebuck, make sure you do the seats, infact everything original if you are planning on selling as you will get more for it being original.

The car will be a keeper, it just burns me that I can do the rest of the interior myself. I have access to an RF Welder at TAFE, I just need the right dieit depends on if your selling or keeping..
I'll probably end up buying a set anyway, so I need stainless strips for the tops of the door trims too? I can't see any in that GTR picture or are we talking about a piece of metal that extends the door trim to the window like this?
