Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone had any good ideas on replacing the little round (plastic coated, zinc(?) plated) bushes that surround the inside door lock knobs?
I'm thinking about turning up some new ones out of stainless or ally, but it's gonna be a pretty fiddly job, so I wanted to know if anyone could save me some hassle?
I have bought some aftermarket knobs (with a flat knurled section on top rather than the standard expanded diameter, flat top knob, to help prevent break in's) and they are slightly larger in diameter than the stocko's, so even if I got some standard surrounds, I would have to drill them out a bit, however, I doubt I would find 4 good standard surrounds now-a-days.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

You could always get some from another car if you don't want the Rares' ones...

If I end up making my own I'll do some extras and let you know. I'd probably do them in stainless, but it depends on what stock I've got/can get my hands on.
They won't be cheap, though. :tease: LOL.

Just use ally, polish them and clearcoat them. That what I am doing on my 'other' car with the demister knobs etc :)

Where do you get the stainless ones? Rare Spares? Or do I have to wait until you put them on your site?
